Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for 2020 Land Rover Sport Towing Flagstaff E-Pro

Question:

I'm in need of a trailer hitch, wiring, and anything else I may need to pull a E17RK Flagstaff E-Pro travel trailer behind my 2020 Range Rover Sport. The dealer wants close to $1,500 for the parts alone and frankly I think that's a bit ridiculous. Any assistance/recommendations will be appreciated.

You've come to the right place; we've got all the high quality parts your 2020 Land Rover Sport needs to be able to tow you Forest River travel trailer at a fraction of the cost you mentioned.

My recommendation for a trailer hitch is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13243 because of its simple installation and overall attractive appearance. It also features a superior finish, which is co-cured in a rust-resistant liquid Bonderite coating, both inside and out, and it's made in the USA. This hitch offers a towing capacity of 8,000 lbs which will work perfectly to tow your Flagstaff, which I found weighs just under 3,000 lbs.

To power your trailer lights, I recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT, wich requires no cutting or splicing. The ZCI harness uses sensors that clamp onto your factory tail light wires to detect current that then is passed on to your trailer lights. Since your trailer is equipped with electric brakes on the rear axle, you'll need our # ETBC7 kit along with a brake controller. An excellent choice is the smartphone controlled Curt Echo # C51180 because it's simple and easy to use. Just plug it into your vehicle's 7-way and connect via Bluetooth. No extra wiring required.

Lastly, you also need a ball mount, ball and a pin and clip. The Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45554 includes all that plus a trailer hitch lock with keys, a hitch cover and a storage case.

I've attached a couple of photos to show you how the # C13243 hitch looks once installed.
