Will i need an adapter for an adult womans bicycle or kids bicycles?

You do not always need to use the bike adapter bar, # TH982XT, in order to carry womens, childrens, or alternative frame bikes on the Thule Apex, # TH9027XT. In other cases it is a must. It depends on each individual bike.

I recommend it regardless because it will make those bikes more level which provides a better center of gravity and will also provide better ground clearance. While you could load a bike with a sloped frame on the rack, one end would point up, the other down and it can cause the lower end to hit the ground on steep inclines.
