Can I Use A MaxxAir Vent Cover On A Fan-Tastic Fan Vent
Question:
Guys, I have 3 Fantastic Fans on my 40QBH Tiffin. If the cover does not allow the lid to open 100, will this cause issues with the lift motor , i.e. burn out.....?? MaxAir Vent Covers with Fantastic Fan Opening Lid

David, I understand your concern but I have contacted Fan-Tastic Vent about their 12V roof vents with powered lifts like part # FV807350 and their compatibility with the shorter covers and they said the lid not opening fully will have no effect on the motor at all although you may not get as much air flow as you would if you used a taller cover.
I recommend to use a Fan-Tastic Vent Ultra Breeze Trailer Roof Vent Cover part # FVU1500GR because they are 10-1/4" tall compared to your current cover which are 9-3/8" tall. The Fan-Tastic Cover also has specially designed louvers that allow for 95-100 percent of air flow according to Fan-Tastic. If you want to keep using the current cover it won't affect the motor though.
