Usually with short bed trucks you have the option of a slider or Sidewinder, but considering you have a 5-1/2 foot bed I think your best bet to safely tow your Triumph 5th Wheel is going to be with a Sidewinder pin box like the Reese # RP34FR.

A Sidewinder style pin box like the Reese is going to provide you with 22" of travel compared to a sliding hitch, that typically can give you anywhere from 8-14". This extra clearance is going to compensate for the shorter bed on your 2012 Toyota Tundra Crew Max. To make sure that you're going to have enough clearance to make towing this trailer with this truck possible, you'll first need to do a bit of math. I've attached an article on how to calculate this, but you'll need to measure the distance from the back of the truck cab to the center of the king pin hole on your hitch (A) and add that to the length of the Sidewinder pin box travel or sliding hitch travel (B) and then subtract the width of your trailer divided in half.

(A+B)-C = Clearance

The number you come up with is the amount of clearance you'll have when executing a 90 degree turn; it is recommended that you have at least 4" remaining between the truck and trailer to safely tow your 5th wheel with your 2012 Toyota Tundra Crew Max.

In order to determine which pin box is going to work on your Triumph 5th Wheel you'll need to check your existing pin box. The pin box number is usually displayed somewhere on the pin box, either on a sticker or stamped into the king pin itself. If it's not there or worn out, you will have to call the trailer manufacturer with the VIN or serial number to have them provide the coupler type.

Check out the linked article and if you can let me know which pin box is on your Triumph 5th Wheel, I can recommend the appropriate replacement.
