How Many Pins are Active on 7-Way Connector of 2008 Dodge Ram

I see that the Draw Tite harness has 7 pins, obviously for a 7 pins trailer wiring, but I noticed the factory connector has 8 pins. Do you know what the 8th pin is for on the factory harness?

While the trailer connector of your 2008 Dodge Ram might have 8 pins only 7 of them are active. If you check out the connectors of the # 20111 that fits your truck you can see that it only has 7 pins active and a few empty slots.

Basically you will just plug this harness in line with the 7-way you have at the rear of your truck and then you will route the included 7-way up to the bed of your truck where you plan to install the harness.
