Question:
I understand about the suspension enhancement recommended but isn't there still a lot of weight on the single wheel bearings?

The 9,048lbs is the dry weight but you still want to account for the weight of your cargo. Per the owners manual, you're limited to between 14,000 to 16,000 lbs as far as Gross Combined Weight Rating of the completely loaded vehicle and trailer including any passengers, cargo, equipment and conversions. If you load your truck as you intend on using it, you can have it weighed at a commercial scale location. The difference between this weight and the Gross Combined Weight Rating total from your owners manual will tell you the maximum weight of the trailer you have to work with.
If you determine your truck can tow the trailer, you could also add a suspension enhancement system like the Timbren Springs, # TGMRCK15S to improve your ride when towing. Timbrens can augment your overall experience, handling, and safety plus the additional support as needed so you always have a smooth, comfortable ride.
