Does Exhaust Need to be Lowered to Install Any Trailer Hitch on a 2019 Chevy Equinox
Question:
Hi, is it required on all 2019 front wheel drive equinoxs to lower the exhaust slightly?

To install the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 76419 on any 2019 Chevy Equinox (regardless if it's FWD or not) the exhaust must be temporarily lowered. This is actually something that is pretty common when installing a trailer hitch on any vehicle and it sounds more intimidating than it really is. You just need a ratchet straps or some bungee cords to hold the exhaust at that lower point so you can hold the trailer hitch up into place.
For a trailer hitch that doesn't require you to lower your exhaust you can use the Curt # C77FR which has a gloss black powder coat finish.
I have attached installation videos for both trailer hitch styles that you can check out as well as the written instructions for you to reference.
