Can Over Under Kit Fit 2 inch Square Axle on Trailer

Question:

I have a boat trailer that is too low to the ground , drags on some boat ramps.i seen that there is a kit to put the axle on top of the springs, but it looks like its for a round axle, I have a 2inch square axle, is there a kit for this, I rather not use the spring hanger kit .any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have 2 inch square U-bolt kits like part # CE23103 which you could use, but we don't have spring seats for this axle size. So you would have to remove the spring seats on your axle and weld them on the other side and you'd be have an over-under kit that fits your axle. You might have to drill spring seats in the axle.

The over under conversion kits like #K71-385-00 only work on round axles. What you can do depends on why you need to raise the trailer. If you need more clearance under the trailer you can replace the leaf spring hangers with longer ones. You have to…
