How To Correct Towing Nose High with 5th Wheel Trailer While Hitch Is At Lowest Setting
Question:
Well the issue I see is the flexair pin is 2 inches lower than the oem 1621 that came off, and the hitch in the truck is on its lowest setting, while the flex air is as high as it will fit in the pin box. So without cutting and welding I only see two choices to maintain a level tow set up is to raise the trailer ride higth by 2 inches or lower the truck 2 inches.

Correct, if the distance from the ground to the bottom of the skid plate on the pin box is 2" lower than the distance from the ground to the top of the skid plate on the 5th wheel hitch after all adjustments to the pin box and 5th wheel hitch have been made then you will need to raise the trailer. The only option we have to raise the trailer exactly 2" is with the Tandem Axle Lift Kit part # RR23QX.
Please note, it is not out of the ordinary to have to lower/raise the trailer in order to level it with the tow vehicle. This issue is becoming more and more common as trucks are only getting to be taller.
