Best Lightweight Bike Rack For 2013 Kia Soul At A Good Price
Question:
Im looking for a bike rack for a KIA soul 2013. Then I need someone to install it by Friday. Yes, this is the last moment. Normally, the bike fits in the back of her car. I thought we could put her dorm room moving boxes on top of it. That was before we permanently attached the front and back baskets. Now we need an affordable rack that my 101lb, 18 yr old can manage alone. best kia soul bike rack at a good price

The easiest way to carry a bike rack on the 2013 Kia Soul is with a trailer hitch, if she does not already have one on the car. I recommend the Class I Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 24839. The hitch is an easy installation that does not require drilling. The Draw-Tite also provides the best ground clearance compared to the other options which is what you want when carrying a bike rack. The bike rack is less likely to scrape the ground in low ground clearance situations with better hitch to ground clearance. I have attached an installation video for your reference.
After you have the hitch installed, I recommend the Class I Kuat Beta - Folding 2 Bike Aluminum Rack for 1-1/4" Trailer Hitches part # B202-114 because it only weighs 12.6 lbs. This will be easy for your daughter to take in and out of the hitch by her self. It also tilts-away for rear cargo access of the Kia if she needs to get something from the back of the vehicle when the bike rack is installed. Another great thing about the Kuat Beta is when she takes it off the Kia Soul she can fold down the arms, fold up the shank and store it in her dorm room closet if she wanted to. Also if she wanted to take a friend bike riding with her she can because it carries 2 bikes. I have attached a video review for your reference.
You will also need Kuat Ubar Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's and Alternative Frame Bikes part # UB01 if your daughters bike has a slanted cross top tube so that the bike will hang from the bike rack level. I recommend to get the Master Lock Python cable lock part # 8419DPF and hitch lock part # HL1 to protect your investments.
