What Is the Capacity of Trailer Valet XL

Question:

It seems the Valet XL may be overkill for moving a 3200 lbs trailer. What would you recommend? I need to purchase in the next three weeks. Thanks

The Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly with Chain Drive - 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # TVXL25 actually has a 10,000 lb trailer weight capacity and 1,000 lb tongue weight capacity.

It is very likely that your 20 foot travel trailer will have a weight that is well under 10,000 lbs and a tongue weight under 1,000 lbs; I do recommend confirming this but I would be shocked if a 20 foot travel trailer exceeds those limits.

The Trailer Valet XL # TVXL25 has a 2-5/16" hitch ball but there is also one with a 2" hitch ball, the Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly with Chain Drive - 2" Hitch Ball # TVXL2. This has the same weight capacities of 10,000 lbs trailer weight and 1,000 lbs tongue weight and either of these will make moving your trailer much, much simpler.

I have added links to a couple video reviews as well which I recommend checking out which show the Trailer Valet in action.

You are right that for a 3,200 lb trailer the Valet XL is a bit much so we have a great alternative, the Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover # STC-V211 which has a 500 lb tongue weight capacity which will be more than enough to move your trailer. Like the larger option, this Trailer Valet also has a chain-drive system which makes it simple to move. You can either turn the crank by hand or add the Drill Attachment # TVDA and use a cordless drill to move your trailer. I have added a link to a video review of the Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover # STC-V211 for you to check out.
