Is the 2 x 10 dimension the size of the floor opening? Or, is this an overall dimension? If it’s the floor opening, what is the overall size of the register?

The JR Products Dampered RV Floor Register part # 37202-28915 measures 11-7/8” long x 4-1/4" wide. The minimum cutout size needed is 9-7/8” long x 2-1/4" wide. The 10" long x 2" wide dimensions are used as a standard for floor registers but each brand can vary slightly.
