Do EZ Lube Spindles Keep Water Out When Submerged

Question:

Does the ez lube put positive pressure inside the hub to keep water out when submersing into water? If not, Can the ez lube portion of the spindle be removed so that I can use bearing buddies?

The EZ-Lube portion of the Dexter Trailer Idler Axle Beam with EZ-Lube Spindles # T20BTR-EZ-7258 will keep water out so long as they are greased properly and you use the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000-lb E-Z Lube Axles # 8-258-5UC1-EZ which does have an EZ-Lube grease cap. This will create a seal that does not allow water in when you submerge your axles.

To add grease I highly recommend the LubriMatic Mini Grease Gun with Marine Corrosion Control and Trailer Bearing Grease # 30-800 and # L54FR.

I have added links to video reviews for you to check out as well.
