Right Turn Signal Not Working on Trailer Towed by 2014 Ram 1500
Question:
The trailer plug on my ram 2014 Ram1500 crew cab has every thing working on the drivers side but only running lights on passenger side. Cant find problem.

The first thing I'd recommend you do is to check the trailer connector on the truck using a circuit tester like # PTW2993. The blade in the 3:00 position should show power when the right turn signal is activated and brake pedal. If you do get a signal on this pin, the problem is in the trailer wiring. The right turn circuit on a trailer is usually a green wire that you can trace from the trailer connector on back, looking for pinched wires or loose connections. You'll also want to check the bulbs in the lamps as well.
If you do NOT get a signal on that pin, you'll want to take a look at the tow package fuses under the hood in the main fuse box (Ram calls it the power distribution center) under the hood. The fuse in cavity # F81 protects the trailer right turn/brake lamp function. Replace if blown. You'll want to closely examine the right turn/brake circuit on the trailer to locate and repair the short circuit that caused the fuse to blow.
