Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan

Having a hard time finding any information about the 1997 Starcraft spacemaster 1224 with slide out. Needing to know exactly what hitch i need to pull this and what wiring is needed.

According to my research, the 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan only has a 2,200 lb towing capacity and the 1997 Starcraft Spacemaster 1224 has a dry weight of 2,124 lbs so you will need to be mindful when loading the trailer. The trailer hitch that I recommend is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98906. This trailer hitch is a direct bolt-on fit for all US models. I have attached an install photo and instructions for you. Then for a trailer wiring harness, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118675 which is a plug and play option and the only one available for your Tiguan. I have attached an install video on this as well.

If the trailer has brakes then please just let me know and I will be glad to recommend a 7-way and brake controller.
