Can 6-Point Lippert Ground Control System be Downgraded to 4-Point System

Question:

Hi. My trailer 2014 Arctic Fox 27-5L came with a 6-point leveling system. Its only 30 feet long with full length 12 in. I-beam frame rails. Oddly, there are 4 jacks behind the wheels, and these are only a few feet apart. I believe this setup to be overkill. I was thinking I could remove the rear-most jacks that are right at the back of the trailer, leaving the 2 landing gear jacks and the two right behind the tires. Would this seem feasible? If so...can I simply disconnect the wiring for these 2 jacks from the control panel and the system will automatically recognize there are now 4 jacks connected instead of 6? Or do I need to make some configuration changes? Or will I need a whole new control panel? Lippert Ground Control. Thanks for any information.

To downgrade the 6-Point Set Lippert Ground Control 3.0 # LC675817 on your 2014 Arctic Fox 27-5L you will need to disconnect/remove 2 of the rear jacks and then also swap out your current control module for the part # LC304136 which is used for the 4-Point Set # LC358590. I'm not sure why you would want to downgrade your system but if you choose to the weight capacity will still be sufficient. I did reach out to my contact at Lippert who confirmed all of this and advised against downgrading the system if that's what came with the unit.

Something else to note is the locations of your jacks. If there is 20' or less between the center of the landing gear footpad and the center of the "rear" footpad then you can use the 4-Point system. If that measurement if greater than 20' then you need to retain use of the 6-Point system.
