Can Lippert Ground Control 3.0 be Used on 5th Wheel With GVWR Over 15,500 lbs

Question:

Will this work on my 2012 keystone fuzion 308? My trailer has a gvwr of 16,700 lbs it weighs 12000 lbs with water and all my stuff in it minus the bikes, but I would never use the leveling system with my bikes in the trailer. I was wanting to upgrade my front landing gear due to the factory gear being under powered and slow. Not sure if this would be a good choice for my set up but I do like the idea of being able to have an auto level set up.

The 6-Point Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System # LC675817 will work on your trailer with a GVWR of 16,700 lbs, so long as you are sure you will not exceed the 15,500 lb capacity of the system. If you are over that weight at all, even if you do not use it to level and just for support, I would recommend going a different direction with electric landing gear.

Since landing gear only supports a portion of the weight, if you are going to be over 15,500 lbs I recommend the 12,000 lb capacity Ultra-Fab Deluxe Electric Landing Gear Set # UF17-943010.

The Ultra-Fab will support a portion of the trailer as opposed to the full system like the Ground Control, which is why even though it has a lesser capacity it is safe to use. These aren't automatic leveling but they are easy to use with just the flip of a switch and are also fast, traveling at a rate of 15 seconds per inch.

I have added links below to video reviews of both the Ultra-Fab Deluxe Electric Landing Gear Set # UF17-943010 and Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System # LC675817.
