If you are trying to route the 4-Way connector, like part # 118437, out of the trunk area of your 2011 Civic, you will need to either find a grommet in the truck pan that will allow you to route the connector outside the vehicle, or drill a hole large enough to route the wires through. My information shows that the trailer wiring for a 2011 Civic does not require a power wire to be ran to the vehicle battery.

If you need to drill I would recommend cutting the 4-Way connector wires a short distance from the converter box, leaving enough wire to splice back together, and drilling a hole just large enough to route the wires up into the trunk compartment and making the splice connections inside the trunk to protect them from moisture and road grime. Also, use some silicone sealer and a grommet to keep moisture out of the truck compartment and protect the wires from sharp metal edges.

To mount the 4-way connector on the hitch at the rear of your vehicle you can use the 4-Pole Flat Mounting Bracket, # 18144 along with the No-Drill Mount Bracket, # 18140.
