2006 GMC Sierra

this is the second set I have purchased this summer (traded trucks). mirrors do a great job of improving the rear vision of trailer. Gets out and beyond the camper. Both sets function great the second pair the finish had some minor inperfections but they are after all temporary mirrors. I would buy rhem again. Great price for great reults. I also parked truck in the hot sun and put a cord around mirrors just to form it tighter to my mirrors on second set not needed, just me

still very happy with them

2004 Chevrolet Silverado

These mirrors look like they will probably work for towing my trailer. They vibrate pretty bad, and the mirror is not convex at all, so you don't see much, especially when it is vibrating. If you get a 4x5.5 blind spot mirror, it helps alot, and you don't notice the vibrating. Then you take a heat gun, and heat up the inner top corner of the housing, and reshape it so it fits tighter, it makes it better. The mirrors are pretty ugly too, I'm glad they go on and off easy.

by:
2006 Chevrolet Silverado

Installation was easy. I picked up 5 1/2 inches on each mirror. Road trip in two days. Will evaluate vibration and wind noise. I will tow a large boat 1300 miles. Etrailer was great every time I called with a question.

Great value for the price, and great customer service.

Oh, geez! I am sorry to hear that. I see our customer service team is working on getting you the mounting hardware. Thanks for letting us know about this!

Easy & efficient service....Thank You!

These mirrors are very sloppy fit, it was confirmed to fit my 2003 gmc sierra 1500 stock truck, but I wll have to cut up an old inter tube and insert into these custom towing mirrors, so they do not shake and vibrate. 100 dollars is way over priced.

So, so I had to put foam on the inside to keep mirrors from moving down on the outer side

by:
2005 Chevrolet Silverado

The product arrived in excellent condition and fit the mirrors on my 2005 Chevy Silverado well. I have yet to utilize them on a trip as yet, but I do feel they are going to work well. Great extends my vision around my camper on both sides and seem to be snug so as to cause little mirror vibration. etrailer had my order out the very next day after receiving it. Thanks guys!

Best set of extension mirrors Ive had yet. Over a year old and are still like new. Very happy with them.

These mirrors don't fit my vehicle and I want to return them. I need to know the return procedure.

Wrong part number was sent. These are not CMT-1500 they are LTV-1500

Etrailer Expert

The LVT-500 part number is the manufacturer part number for the CMT-1500 mirrors. I am wondering if you have full-chrome mirrors. In order for this slide on mirror to work the back of your mirror needs to look like the one in the product description. I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you. Another mirror option that could work better would be a more universal clamp on mirror like part # CM11980-2.

by:

These mirrors fit well over the OEM standard mirrors. They are useful for the occasional towing use. However the image isn't very stable due to vibration, and in heavy winds the amount of torque put on the folding mirror feature cause the OEM mirror to rotate rearward, which can create a blind spot. Also, if the mirrors are stored where there are higher temperatures, the mirror glass can detach from the base. I upgraded to OEM style towing mirrors.

by:

Just not happy with these mirrors. Haven't been able to make them fit as secure as I wanted them to. The driver side mirror was okay but the passenger mirror had constant vibration while going down the road. They made my three day trip pulling at 7x16 enclosed trailer from Florida to Maryland possible. They were better than not having anything at all but I'll look for something else in the future.

by:

The fit was not really custom and they still wiggled up and down. I fixed this by applying some very strong Velcro strips to the top and bottom of my vehicles mirror and to the inside of the tow mirrors. This stopped the wiggle and other vibrations.
I had contemplated screws to a stop the wiggle but did not want to be drilling holes in my stock mirrors.

by:
2004 GMC Yukon

All aspects of the ordering and delivery of my trailering mirror extensions were completed easily and efficiently. The extensions were easy to install and function as advertised. I can now see behind my boat and am much more comfortable trailering the boat as I can now see behind it. I would recommend these mirrors to anyone.

by:
2005 Chevrolet Silverado

Installed mirrors on my 2005 Silverado to go pickup a travel trailer I purchased at an auction about 50 miles from home. Drove on 2 lane highways and country blacktops. Mirrors were what I expected, nice fit with very little vibration (except for the potholes). A quality product at a good price, I would recommend them to anyone pulling a wide tall load.

by:
2005 GMC Yukon XL

Product came out of the box ready to install. Installed on 05 GMC Yukon XL and fit (for the most part) the way that I thought. Little extra space at the top of the mirror but other than that everything seems to be good.

Unfortunately we sold the Yukon a few months after that purchase and so I no longer use those extenders. But they worked great when I did use them.

by:
2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

I put these on an 07 GMC 2500. They went on with easy and work great for the $$. They are so easy to take on and off I worry about someone taking them. So, I take them off when not pulling a trailer.

Cant get a better buy for the money!! My camper is 35ft and they work perfectly. If they ever break I will buy them again.

by:
2003 Chevrolet Silverado

Bought a 8 ft. wide trailer and these mirrors did the trick they go on quickly don't vibrate and stay there. saved me a ton of money not having to buy tow mirrors from chevy.

by:
2001 GMC Sierra

Good mirror for the price. Fit relatively well, but there's a bit of vibration that causes some distortion. To be honest, I dropped one and it broke but liked them enough to get another set.

by:
1999 GMC Sierra

I ordered these mirror extensions for a 1999 GMC Sierra 2500. What I got fit my nephews Chevy, so I gave them to him. Easier than trying to send them back. I give up. If there was a rating less than poor, I would give it.

by:
2002 Chevrolet Silverado

The Mirrors is a plus to see the sides and the rear of our trailer. The plastic screws are not to my liking . I think it is a good product. James

by:
2002 Chevrolet Suburban

These mirrors worked great as compared to the strap on version that come loose and might fall off. Very secure mounting. good vision to the sides.

by:
2006 Chevrolet Silverado

I was a bit disappointed by the fit but over all I think they will do a good job. I was especially pleased that there is no vibration as I go down the road.

by:
2002 GMC Sierra

I ordered mirrors for towing a camper this is the second set of these I have bought. Very good product I would recommend them to anyone. They look good and very easy to install. They shipped the same day I ordered them.

by:
2006 Cadillac Escalade

The "long view" perspective is very difficult to use as it is so far different from the stock mirror and internal rear view mirror. I would like a mirror that is the same perspective as factory original equipment, This would make it much easier and safer to use.

by:
2003 Chevrolet Silverado

Fitment was OK and does work but the hold down are plastic and can break so be careful. As the plastic gets old you well have to replace the hold downs. But works great for the cost.

As long as the turn signals of your mirrors are built into the mirror face of your 2006 Chevy Silverado the Towing mirrors part # CTM1500 that you referenced will work on your 2006 Chevy Silverado. The Longview Custom Slide-On Towing Mirror # CTM1500 that you referenced will fit the stock mirrors on the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 that look like the mirror in the linked photo. Your stock mirrors' power fold and power adjust features will still operate but the integral turn signals will be blocked by the towing mirror housing that slips...

This also has a convex lower mirror section to help with blind spots too.

We have full replacements such as the K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors part # KS62049-50G or slip-ons such as the The Original Custom Towing Mirror Custom Slide On Mirrors part # CTM1500.
