Wiring Optronics Oval LED Trailer Turn Signal and Parking Light as a Vehicle Front End Replacement
Question:
I am looking to use these as a turn signal on a truck front end replacement. I want to know how to wire it in, i have two wires for turn signals. do i match them up with the red and black on the lights then ground the white to the truck/front end replacement?

When wiring the Optronics Oval LED Turn Signal and Parking Light, part # STL78AB, you will want to connect the red wire from the light to the turn signal wire from the vehicle and the black wire from the light to the parking light wire from the vehicle. Then you should ground the white wire from the light to the frame of the vehicle or another good ground source.
This may not be an issue on the front end of your vehicle, but you may want to test the circuit you are attaching the red wire to to make sure it is not combined with the brake function. If this is the case you will need to locate a dedicated turn circuit for the red wire from the turn signal.
Be sure to check DOT regulations for using a trailer turn signal as your main turn signal on the front end of your vehicle.
A load resistor, part # DI34ZR, may be required if the LED lights hyper flash.
