Is 100-Lb Tank Sufficient Source for 100,000-BTU Heater

Is a 100lb tank big enough for my 100000 btu Hayward pool heater? Also will I need size regulator will I need?

I contacted Hayward and was advised that a 100-lb tank is the recommended minimum size to use with one of their 100,000-BTU pool heaters.
Please note that Hayward residential pool heaters are normally configured to operate on natural gas (NG). With the right parts professionally installed one can be converted to operate on propane. The pool heater will have to be operated with the type of fuel it is designed for. The regulators and burner orifices are different and it is not possible to use the other fuel type without making the necessary internal modifications.
The regulator # 108220 that you referenced is NOT usable with natural gas; it is for liquid propane fuel only. This regulator will support up to a 400,000-BTU flow capacity. Please note that it has a 1/4-inch Female NPT inlet and a
3/8-inch Female NPT outlet and is intended for vertical installation.
