Roadmaster Trailer Suspension Upgrade Kit for 2017 Grand Design Solitude

Question:

I have 2017 Grand Design Solitude 310GK pulled by 2015 Chevy Silverado 3500 SRW . I want to mitigate the earthquake effect in the trailer. I am upgrading pin box from Lippert Rota Flex to Lippert Flex Air through a warranty replacement and upgrade. I have already upgraded to heavier trailer springs after 2 broke on 1 trip! The 2nd leaf is an overload with curved end under the eye. Now, my question: Lippert Center Point Air Ride Suspension System with or without the shock kit? OR Roadmaster Comfort Ride Slipper Springs and Shock system?? Which one will give the smoother ride in the trailer? Trailer gross weight is 15000lbs and it has two 7000 lb 3inch axles. Thanks, in advance, for sharing your research, knowledge, and experience on this subject.

The Lippert Center Point Air-Ride Trailer Suspension Upgrade # LC1565391 will help reduce shocks transmitted into the chassis of a trailer that has a tandem axle double-eye leaf spring suspension, but this kit also raises the trailer height by 2-inches. This is something to consider since raising the trailer's center of gravity can lead to more sway.

For this reason I would go with the Roadmaster Comfort Ride kit # RM-2460-2570. This will support and dampen motion of your 7K axles with its hanger boxes that isolate the two axles from each other and its nitrogen-filled shocks that help control both vertical and lateral (swaying) motion. Plus, unlike the Center Point this kit does not create the potential for air leaks in the springs nor does it raise the trailer's stance.
