Can 1,000 lb Tongue Weight Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System be Upgraded to 1,200 or 1,400 lb

I currently have the 90-00-1000 Equal-i-zer hitch and want to know if I can simply purchase the 12,000 or 14,000 max trailer weight arms to replace my existing 1,000lb ones. Is this possible with only the purchase of the higher weight rated arms? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
To change the tongue weight rating of an Equal-i-zer system you have to replace the head and the spring bars together. So you'd need the head part # EQ90-02-1200 for a 1,200 lb setup or part # EQ90-02-1400 for a 1,400 lb setup.
For 1,200 lb bars you'd need part # EQ90-01-1299 or for 1,400 lb bars part # EQ90-01-1499.
