Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a brief look at this UWS replacement fuel cap for transfer tanks. Now, this is designed to be used with UWS and DeWalt transfer tanks. It has two-inch male pipe threads and an anodized finish on the top of the cap. This is going to include the cap and the base to attach to your tank.
And the cap, as you can see, has a spring loaded design so it can adjust to have a tight seal but still allow venting through the cap. It actually has a commercial grade vented design for proper ventilation. So, in order to get it into place, you're just going to put the cap on, push it down and in, and then turn it until it's closed and you are good to go. Whenever you're removing the cap from the base, you do want to remove it slowly so that you don't cause any injury to yourself or others. Now, this cap, looking at the overall diameter, lining my ruler up for you, we are sitting pretty close to, looks like four inches on that diameter of the cap.
By the way, this hole in the cap is for a small padlock if you would like to secure that. And again, this has two-inch male pipe threads. The outer diameter of this hex design on our base, again, trying to line this ruler up for you, we are sitting pretty close to three inches on that outer diameter of the hex shape. And then the overall height, we're sitting right at about 2 1/2 inches tall. And then the distance from the bottom of the cap to the top of our base, if you need that measurement, we are sitting pretty close to 9/16 of an inch, it looks like.
And then measuring from the top of our cap to the bottom of our base, again, lemme line that ruler up for you. Looks like we are sitting pretty close to about 1 3/4 inches. Again, from the top of that cap to the bottom of that base. Well, that's going to conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you.
Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I contacted the manufacturer UWS and this fuel cap now has an anodized outer cap for improved corrosion resistance. This finish is more of a brassy finish, and does vary more in color vs. the older non anodized one
