Where Does the Charge Line Circuit Run To On The Back Of a 6-Way On a Toad

Question:

I have a 2017 31D Minnie Winnie class C, and I’ve installed the blue ox baseplate on my 2019 Chevy Equinox. I have a blue ox 7 blade to 6 pin umbilical, and installed the 6 way plug on the toad baseplate. From there, I have installed an RVi toad battery charger to keep the equinox charged up. There are so many diagrams online showing 7 way and 6 way configurations. I believe the 12v on the 7 blade should be at the 1:00 position. But I’m not sure about on the 6 way. Some say the center pin and others say that’s for brake controller. I also am unsure whether my Motorhome is prewired with the 12v to the 7 blade. Do I need to order the rm 156-75?

If you are using the Blue Ox 7-Wire to 6-Wire, Coiled Electrical Cord part # BX88206 which it sounds like you are then you will need to attach the 12 volt power wire from the vehicle's battery to the terminal in the 1 o'clock position on the back of the vehicle side 6-way. In order to do this you will need the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles part # RM-156-25.

If the pin for the 12 volt circuit on the vehicle side 7-way which is in the 1 o'clock position is not active then you will also need the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes part # RM-156-75.
