Trimming Needed to Install Trailer Hitch On 2015 Land Rover Discover Sport
Question:
The instructions I read sounds like the bumper facia and bumper do NOT need to be removed to install this hitch unlike some other videos I have seen. Is that correct? Also, how do you recommend running the power wire up to the battery for the wiring harness, outside or inside the vehicle and/or any routing suggestions? It appears that I need hitch C13396 and Wiring kit C56297. Please confirm these are the part #s I need for my vehicle before I order. Thank you in advance

There is trimming required to install the Curt hitch part # C13396 that you referenced. I attached a picture that I took from the install instructions that shows where the trimming is required.
The Curt trailer wiring kit part # C56297 is a confirmed fit and the kit to use. It does require running the power wire up the battery which I would do through the exterior of the vehicle as that will be much easier than getting the wiring into the interior of the vehicle, concealed behind interior panels, and then somehow back to the engine bay through the firewall. Going under the vehicle avoiding any hot or pinch points is the way to go. I attached a help article that covers this part of trailer wiring installs for you to check out as well.
