Rear Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for a 2012 Ford F-250 4x4 Crew Cab Diesel

Question:

I tow a 12,000-lb 5th wheel with a 2012 F250 4x4 crew cab diesel. The pin weight is about 2000 lbs and the trucks carrying capacity is 3290 lbs. The rear end drops some with the trailer connected, so Im looking for a helper spring to level it out. The Timbrens are rated at 6000 lbs. Are these the best choice?

The Timbren suspension enhancement, # TFR250SDG, that you have referenced is my first choice for your truck. The Timbren springs are designed to do exactly what you need plus they will reduce side to side body roll, absorb road shock, and will not affect the empty ride of the vehicle.

When you have a load in the bed, like your 5th wheel trailer, the bed will drop and what the Timbren springs do is take of the gap between the axle and frame more than the factory bump stops. This is what reduces the sag at the back. The more weight that is applied to the springs, the more rigid and resistant they become.

I have included a link to an FAQ article on the Timbren systems for you to view.
