Should Lube Plate Be Used with Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch

I am going to purchase DM6099 and DM8550034. Is it recommended to use a lube plate with this hitch? If so, which lube plate is recommended?

You can certainly use a lube plate with the Demco Hijacker Autoslide # DM8550034 but it isn't quite as necessary as it is with many other hitches because the hitch head actually rotates with the pin box. Demco also doesn't outright recommend one with this particular hitch.
If you do decide to add one to further prevent wear I recommend the Reese 12" Lube Plate # RP83004 because of its larger diameter that covers more space on the hitch and the 1/8 inch thickness (a bit thinner than most) that's just going to allow for an easier hitching process with regards to the capture plates.
