Will Installing Trailer Hitch on a 2018 Volvo XC60 Disable Start/Stop Feature?
Question:
Could installing a trailer hitch for my Volvo stop me from having to turn off the “start stop” feature? I desperately despise this about my Volvo. Thanks !

Installing a trailer hitch on your Volvo will not impact that start stop feature. From my research you can temporarily disable this function by following these steps: From the Home Screen, swipe the screen from left to right to the Vehicle functions screen. Press the Start/Stop button and the indicator light will turn off. This from my research will only disable it until your next start on 2018 models. Apparently there is a software update for 2019 models that helps it to remember you want that feature turned off permanently that the 2018 for some reason doesn't have.
If you want to add a trailer hitch, the Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class 4 - 2" # SH87FR is the correct hitch fit for your 2018 Volvo XC60. This is a great option for a bike rack or cargo carrier as well as great for towing.
