Replacement Breakaway Switch Pin for 5th Wheel Trailer
Question:
My switch cable was pulled while unloading my 5th wheel. I reed the plunger and the break lights are still on ? Help??

A lot of breakaway cable pins have a similar design that looks like the Hopkins # HM20012 and they can be interchanged. There are a few oddball ones out there though so if you could send me a picture of your cable pin and how much length you need for the cable I can see if we have something compatible. I have attached a link to our selection of replacement breakaway switch pins that you can also filter through.
The breakaway kit should only be connected to the 12V lead, your brake circuit, and ground so having the pin pulled shouldn't be keeping your brake lights on. You may want to check your connector and wires that lead to your brake lights to make sure power isn't jumping from the 12V or brake circuits over to the brake light circuit.
