Alternate Measurement to Use for Mounting Rear Jacks of Lippert Ground Control TT

Question:

I asked a question earlier if the five-point ground control TT would work on my 2018 jayco Jay feather 27rl and the response was yes but one more question I have before ordering is I watched a video on how to install it and it said the rear mounts should be between 18 and 48 incha behind the rear spring hanger unfortunately my steps into the trailer are at 24 to 52 inchs back I cannot put it ahead of that because of two bolts going through the frame and if I put it behind the stairs it would be at 54 inchs can I still install it farther than 48 inchs

I spoke with my contact at Lippert about the measurement for mounting the rear jacks of the Lippert Ground Control TT # LC672136 and it sounds like you'll be fine to mount the jacks but this is what they sent me:

The reason it needs to be between those measurements is due to the departure angle. If the customer was to take a string from the bottom of the rear most tire and run it to the bottom of the rear bumper, the jack would need to be above that line. As long as the jack is above this line, then yes they can install that far back. If any part of the jack will be below that line, they can not install it that far back.

I attached an install video for this kit for you to check out as well.
