Can I Use the Phoenix 4000 Jack With Lippert Ground Control TT Auto-Level System

Question:

I am most impressed by the Phoenix jack and want to replace the jack that came with my TT. However, I have the LCI Ground Control TT auto-level system that also uses the tongue jack. If I replace the tongue jack with a non-Lippert component, will I mess up the auto level system? Or will the system continue to operate but without the tongue jack activated? Will the system give me error messages and freeze up like it tends to do when it sets an error message? The system has been very good, actually, but the tongue jack has never impressed me and has had occasional operating issues such as slipping and hesitating. Tongue weight is 650 lbs., FYI. Thanks! Always a positive experience when dealing with etrailer.

If you're wanting to continue to use the Electric Ground Control TT Automatic 5-Point Travel Trailer Leveling System # LC672136 then you need to replace your tongue jack with the exact replacement part # LC421366.

While I do love the Phoenix Electric Trailer Jack # UF38-944040, since it only has power and ground connections you will get error messages and everything will be all jacked up if you mix it with the leveling system (pun intended). The Lippert replacement jack has connectors that plug into the Ground Control TT system so it communicates will all of the other jacks in the system so they all work together.
