To properly and safely flat tow your 2019 Chevy Equinox you are going to need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety chains, a wiring kit, a supplemental braking system and likely a high-low adapter. I'll list the best parts for you:

- Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # RM-523193-5
- Tow Bar: Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 (if the Equinox is a Premier model) OR Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-152-LED (if the Equinox is NOT a Premier model)
- Supplemental Braking System: SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 OR if your motor home has air brakes: SMI Air Force One Supplemental Braking System for Motor Homes with Air Brakes # SM99243

The Roadmaster base plates are a great option for your '19 Equinox because they give your car a clean look; the brackets will not stick out of the front of your car. The Nighthawk tow bar is a great option because it has long arms which make it easier to maneuver when towing, along with integrated safety cables and lights that are going to make it easier for you to hook up or disconnect if it's dark.

The Flexo-Coil wiring kit is designed to prevent any type of electrical feedback to keep the electrical system safe on your Equinox, and Tail Light Wiring Kit for LED bulbs will actually bypass your car's wiring entirely.

In regards to the supplemental braking systems, both the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO as well as the SMI Air Force One are strongly recommended because they give you effective braking to help keep you safe and stop more easily, and are a one-time install which will never require any type of removal or reactivation.

You may also need a high-low adapter in order to keep your Equinox level, and I've added a link to a help article which shows you how to determine if you need an adapter as well as a link to our selection of adapters.

I have added links to video reviews and installs of these parts for you to take a look at as well.
