Kwikee Steps Extend While Driving Down the Road on a 2018 Thor M29
Question:
2018 ford thor mod m29 30 foot steps come out without any food opening, has happened several times even when traveling down the road and wont come back in after opening and closing door several times but later will retrac .

I spoke to my contact at Lippert about the issue you are having with your steps. The first thing they told me to have you check is that your screen door is secure because if there was too much movement on the screen door, that could then cause the steps to extend while traveling down the road. If the screen door is tight without much movement then you will need to check for continuity with a multi-meter on the brown wire between the switch and control board. If there is not proper continuity on the switch then it will need to be replaced with the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Switch Magnet part # LC369299.
