Can Reese Sidewinder for Lippert 1716 Pin Box Also Replace Lippert 1621 Pin Box
Question:
Sidewinder pin box I’m getting a new fifth wheel with a 1621pin box .My current fifth wheel has a 1716 pin box. My current fifth wheel as the sidewinder now which is a 1716 and boxed. Will I be able to use this on my 1621 pin box ? Thanks for your help

The Lippert 1621 and 1716 model pin boxes feature different enough mounting bolt patterns and designs that you won't be able to use your current Sidewinder (designed to replace the 1716) on your new trailer that is equipped with the Lippert 1621.
For your new trailer you can use the Reese Sidewinder # RP34FR or the Premium # RP61422 that features an enclosed air spring to absorb road shock and provide an extremely smooth ride. Both options have a 16,000 pound towing weight capacity and will perfectly replace a Lippert 1621 model pin box.
