Do you need to level travel trailer before you remove the sway bars

It's going to be much easier to remove/install the bars of a Strait Line weight distribution system like the part # RP66074 if the trailer is level. Typically people will jack up the trailer with it still connected to the tow vehicle to reduce the spring bar tension so that they can easily be removed/installed.
