Axle Kits with Electric Brakes to Replace Mobile Home Axles

Question:

I have old 6k lb mobil home axles 40yrs + . The brakes are 12inch x 2inch and the magnet is 7/8inch thick and 2 3/4round with an ear casted in to the body with a secondary hole. The offset between the two holes is 1 3/4inch center to center. Both the center hole and the secondary hole are approximately 1/2inch in diameter. QUESTION- Are these magnets available or is their a newer design oval w/ single hole that would work. Thanks.

We do carry replacement magnets and other parts for electric drum brakes, including some older designs. I linked the replacement magnets we carry for 12 x 2 brakes, parts # BP01-225 and # BP01-180.

However, mobile home axles are not intended for continuous use on a trailer. Mobile home axles are manufactured to be strong enough only for one use to transport the dwelling to its destination - just that one time. Mobile home axles are not safe for ongoing use on a trailer.

But we do offer complete trailer axles with brakes, hubs, drums, etc that appear on the other page I included for you. These include several 6K axle kits, parts # 7461121-EB, # 8327826-EB and # 8327830-EB, all of which have 6-on-5-1/2 hub/drums. These three axles have different hub face and spring center dimensions to suit a range of applications.
