Which 5th Wheel Installation Kit to Use With Existing Rails on 1999 Ford F-250
Question:
I have the 30095 rails, came with hitch, will the 50082 bracket work with these rails or do I have to get other rails? I am a little confused as this 50043-6008 also looks like it fits, and cheaper than RP50082-58? Thanks

Expert Reply:
The existing fifth-wheel rails that you have are compatible with the Reese Quick-Install Custom Bracket # 50082. I would recommend using the # RP50082 brackets as drilling is not required for installation.
The representative at Hidden Hitch informed me that the Custom Installation Bracket # 50043, will not work with your rail kit as it is a 10 bolt kit. The # 50043 brackets also require the enlargement of an existing hole on the frame for installation. If you want to use the # 50043 brackets you need to order the kit that includes the rails, part # 50043-6008.
I have linked instructions and a video installation of the Reese Quick-Install Custom Bracket # RP50082.
