Can Two High-Low Adapter be Used to Achieve Needed Rise or Drop

Question:

I need a 10 inch drop for a new tow. I have a 6 and a 4 inch drop down now. Can i use both together to make 10 inch or do I need to buy one 10 inch?

To achieve a 10 inch drop to keep your tow bar within the "Safe Zone" (3 inches above or below level) I definitely recommend going with a single high-low adapter that features the full 10 inch drop.

The potential issue with using 2 adapters like you mentioned is that it's going to cause an awful lot of movement at the connection point which may lead to failure down the line. With a flat towing setup using 2 adapters like this isn't as much of a concern compared to with a hitch mounted accessory or even a standard travel trailer since there isn't much tongue weight involved, but it still may be enough to cause damage so going with a single adapter is absolutely your best option.

For a Blue Ox high-low adapter that has a 10 inch drop (or rise) we have the Blue Ox # BX88132. This adapter features a 5,000 pound towing weight capacity.

If you need a higher capacity we also have the Roadmaster # RM-048-10 that has a 10-1/4 inch rise/drop with a towing weight capacity of 10,000 pounds and a tongue weight limit of 400 pounds.

I have included a couple short video demonstrations on these products that you can check out as well.
