Rear Observation Camera for Pre-Wired 2019 Jayco White Hawk

Question:

I have a Jayco 2019 White Hawk that is prewired for a Furrion camera. I am considering a Furrion 4.3 system. Will this act as a full time observation system as well as a back up system, right out of the box and connected to the pre wired area of my new trailer or do I have to make any modifications or adjustments for it to function both ways.

I reached out to my contact at Jayco regarding your 2019 White Hawk and she said that it actually depends on the specific submodel and any options that may have been added at the factory as to whether the pre-wired setup is connected to a constant power source for observation or the reverse signal for a backup camera. If you are able to give me your VIN I will be happy to reach out to her again and she should be able to provide me with the specific setup on your RV with that number.

Otherwise you can simply use a circuit tester to test the wiring behind the existing bracket on your White Hawk to see if it gets power only when the RV is shifted into reverse. If this is the case you can certainly change it by simply connecting the wiring to a constant 12V source like the running lights signal instead. This would allow the camera to be on both during normal driving and backup scenarios.

Either way for your pre-wired Jayco White Hawk the Furrion RV Observation System # FOS43TASF that you referenced will work perfectly. This will be an easy plug-and-play installation and it features a waterproof camera with infrared LEDs for nighttime vision. I have attached a short video review that you can also check out.
