Recommended Roof Rack and Heavy-Duty Kayak Carrier for 2014 Honda Accord

Question:

What roof rack and kayak holder should I purchase if I have a honda accord 2014 sport and am putting a feel free lure tandem on it which is estimated around 92 pounds?

Starting with the roof rack I highly recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex System that consists of # RRVA137B-2 for the two 54" Aluminum Vortex Bars in Black or # RRVA137S-2 for Silver, # RRRLKVA for the 2500 Series Legs, and # DK359 for the Custom DK Fit Kit.

I really like the Rhino-Rack Vortex systems because their aerodynamic bars with built-in channels provide many of the same benefits of the higher-end racks (extremely quiet ride, heavy-duty strength, compatibility with channel-mount accessories) without the high-end cost. I have attached a short video review of this system on the Honda Accord that you can check out as well.

Then for the actual carrier I like the Lockrack Watersport Carrier # LR54FR for larger kayaks like your FeelFree Lure Tandem. This is a somewhat unique carrier that features ratcheting arms to secure the watercraft so you don't actually need to add load straps. It has a robust weight capacity of 175 pounds and its adjustable base allows fitment with many different sized kayaks. Locks are also included to help deter theft. I have attached an image of its dimensions just so you can be sure it will work with the width of your kayak.

I have also included a video demonstration that you can take a look at.
