Automatic Dual Changeover Regulator to Use for Champion Generator 100264

Question:

I have a Champion dual-fuel generator model 100264 that came with a hose and regulator for a single propane tank. I would like to buy an auto changeover regulator for dual tanks that will work with my generator. Can you help? Thanks.

The Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator # CAM59005 is the exact part that you need to power your Champion generator. This has a built-in red/green gas gauge to show you when each tank is empty and it also allows you to safely replace each tank without interrupting the gas flow from the one that you are currently using to power your generator.

If you don't already have pigtails for your propane tanks then the Camco Propane Supply Hose # CAM59153 which has the male inverted flare is what you will want to use.

Champion 100297 dual fuel generator: Want to do a dual auto propane hookup and switch. Do I need the regulator, pigtail hose and a bracket? Generator will be sitting on the ground in the woods at a cabin site

I took a look at the owner's manual for your 100297 generator and it shows that it comes with a propane regulator and 3 foot hose. If you wanted to use two tanks with auto switching between the two tanks, you could use the JR Products # 37207-31525 auto change over regulator with mounting bracket, along with two pigtails such as the MB Sturgis # 100575-30-MBS. You will reuse the hose that runs from the regulator to the generator unless you need a longer one, in which case you can reach out to me again.
