A 7,500 lb trailer would not be a problem at all for a 2018 Ford F-150 with the 3.5 liter EcoBoost. I looked up the capacity of your truck and every configuration of it with your engine has quite a bit more towing capacity than 7,500 lbs so you'd be good.
Since you have a short bed truck you'd need a slider hitch to allow you to make sharp turns. For that I recommend the Reese 16k slider hitch part # RP30075 because this hitch has a jaw system that holds the king pin tightly and a round tube slider that will operate much smoother than a square tube slider. For a rail kit you'd then want a custom install kit part # RP50087-58 because it will minimize drilling when compared to a universal kit and will be much easier to install.
