When installing Curt Trailer Hitch # C13397 on your 2018 Honda CR-V you will need to contact your Honda dealer and get part 08U59-TLA-100A. The dealer, or another mechanic, will need to install this and it will be located just next to the center of the hitch, in the bumper. I have sent you a link to the instructions I found online.
The other option is to install Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 76128 so you would not have to relocate the liftgate sensor; the trade-off is that this hitch does not have a concealed crosstube the way the Curt hitch does. The liftgate sensor works with this hitch though you would need to kick your feet on either side of the hitch as opposed to the center.
I have added links to videos of both hitches being installed on a CR-V for you to check out as well.
