Installing Trailer Brake Controller on 2007 Ford E-450 RV with Factory 4-Way
Question:
Is there a pre wiring connection for a 7 wire trailer/brakes on my RV? It has a 4 wire plug now , and I have read that it has a brake control wiring harness under the dash. what will be the easiest way to in stall one if it is not?

If your 2007 Ford E-450 has the factory 4-Way connector at the rear then there should indeed be a factory brake controller harness located beneath the dash. It is likely taped to another harness to the left of the steering column behind the emergency brake. I have attached a sample installation video that you can use for reference that shows where exactly you will be looking on your Ford chassis.
To connect a brake controller like the excellent Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 that you were looking at to this plug you just need to add the Plug-In Adapter # 3035-P.
To complete the installation you will also need to upgrade the 4-Way on your RV to a 7-Way with the Hopkins Adapter # 37185. This will plug right into the existing 4-Way and it looks like on your Ford E-450 you will still need to run the blue brake output wire from the brake controller to the back of the new 7-Way. You will want to use 10 gauge wiring like # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) for this.
