2017 Hyundai Sante Fe with 4-Way Brake Controller Install
Question:
Looking for brake controller setup for above. Would a DrawTite I-connect controller #5535 and ETBC7L adapter kit fill the bill? What wires would I need to run from controller to adapter kit. Power and controller output? Assume I can use chassis ground. What gauge wire? Need to tow a small A-frame trailer, 2500# dry, GVWR #3300, TW of 300. single axle 2 brakes.

Everything you need to install a brake controller like the Brake EVN # TK63VR in your 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe with a 4-way comes with the # ETBC7. This comes with an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way and all of the wiring to connect the controller to your vehicle and the vehicle to the 7-way adapter that's included.
We had the chance to install a brake controller in a very similar 2014 Santa Fe which I attached a link to an install video that covers the entire install for you to check out. Basically the controller needs power, ground, a circuit that sees 12 volts when the brakes are applied and then ran back to the 7-way adapter. All of this is covered in the video which I think will be very helpful.
