All Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2019 Jeep Wrangler JK with Standard Factory Bumper

Question:

I am looking to flat tow 2019 Jeep Wrangler JK. I don't have an aftermarket front bumper, its just the regular one that it came with. Can you tell me what base plates I need and all of the parts that are needed to flat tow with four wheels down my '19 Wrangler.

There are a number of parts needed in order to flat tow your 2019 Jeep Wrangler JK with a standard factory bumper; I will list the parts for you below.

- Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5
- Tow Bar: Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-522
- Safety Chains: RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
- Supplemental Braking System: Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700
- Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400

Base plates are vehicle-specific and the Roadmaster EZ5 are a fit for your 2019 Wrangler and will give your car a clean look. The Falcon tow bar is a great option for your Jeep because it is non-binding and has long arms which make it easier to maneuver when towing; the accompanying photo shows the Falcon in action and pulling a Jeep.

The wiring kit is designed to effectively prevent electrical feedback to keep your Jeep's electrical system safe, and the InvisiBrake supplemental braking system is highly recommended because it is a one-time install which you can leave in so you'll never have to deactivate or reactivate it. You will also need to use the Brake-Lite Relay Kit to ensure that your Jeep's turn signal lights flash in tandem with your RV's lights.

It is also likely you will need a high-low adapter such as # RM-070 to keep your tow bar level with your tow vehicle. The adapter you need is going to depend on some measurements you'll need to take. I have added a link to a help article on high-low adapters which explains the measurements you'll need, as well as a link to our page with our selection of adapters. I have also added links to video reviews and installations for you to take a look at.
