Best Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2012 Chevy Suburban
Question:
I have a 2012 Suburban, 5.3L, 6 speed transmission. I currently do not have the OEM Auxiliary Trans cooler, but I want to add one. For towing, would two transmission coolers be better than one? Maybe a combo of # D13960 and # D13503? Or would # D13960 be enough? Or would # D15870 with the 800-CFM be good enough by itself?

One really efficient and larger transmission cooler would be all that you'd need. In theory, the more the better but in reality one really good one would be all that you'd need.
The Derale Hyper Cool part # D13960 is a stacked plate style of cooler with a built in fan which would be more than adequate. The stacked plate coolers are by far the most efficient and the fan ensures that you'd always have enough airflow to cool the fluid. It also allows you to mount basically anywhere as it provides it's own air flow.
