Snow Chain Recommendation for Tire Size 35-12.50R17 on 2013 Dodge Ram
Question:
I have a 2013 ram 2500 4x4, taking a trip through Oregon over Christmas, pulling a trailer. Mandatory snow chain areas are common. I have a 2.5 level kit, 35-12.50r17 tires. Do I need to have S class chains? Couldnt find it in my manual, amd,Im torn, between twist link or v bar

Doesn't look like you'll need S compatible chains on your truck since the manual doesn't mention it and it looks like you have plenty of clearance on the truck tires/wheels. V-bar chains like the # TC3831CAM are designed to do the best in icy conditions as the V-bars will break up the ice. Square link like part # TC3231SCAM are designed for deep snow traction as the square links are larger and do a better job getting through deep snow.
Any of the sets mentioned are going to work well where you'll be travelling. I'd pick the set that you think will be best matched for what you'll encounter though.
