Snow Chain Recommendation for Jeep Wrangler with Tire Size 315/70R17 for Deep Snow/Off Road

Question:

Hello. I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler 2-door with 35x12.5x17 LT315/70 R17 tires and a 2.5 inch lift. It looks like the TC3831CAM is a good choice chain for this setup. Due to the size and weight of the Jeep 4750 lbs +/-, I run the tires at 25 lbs for normal street use. For off roading I the tire pressure down to 12-15 lbs. This, of course, allows for a larger footprint, more sidewall flex, and better grip. For normal snowstorms and street driving around town, I may not air much, if at all. For snow wheeling, I will be on the lower off side for tire pressure to get more float on the snow. Questions: 1 - Will there be any issues with these chains and driving a full tire pressure for one application city streets then a much lower pressure for off roading? 2- Will I need additional chain tensioners TCMA2 when the tires are aired down or will the built in CAM adjustments be enough? Thanks,

The Titan V-Bar chains part # TC3831CAM that you referenced are a fit for the tire size you have on your 2018 Jeep Wrangler that is 315/70R17 and would work well, but the V-bar style of chain is mainly designed for ice conditions as the V-bars are sharper and designed to break up the ice.

For deep snow and off-roading situations a square link set is much better as it digs deeper into the snow for traction. So instead I'd recommend the Titan chains part # TC3231SCAM which are also a fit. Airing down your tires won't be a fit issue either. The tire doesn't get bigger when aired down so the size would not be an issue.
